I see you had the bike idle set to around 900rpm. These 1000s, especially the 75-77 models, like to run hot. The carb & cam setup on these particular wings is so hot that the book recommendations arent great. I find that keeping the idle between 1200-1500 really keeps them running well and gives you better performance off the line. When cruizing I really try not to spend to much time below around 3k rpm. Remember, Honda was trying to compete for speed when they developed these bikes to the 75-77 models really are their own monster.
