GL1000- phenem gasket thickness

Hi All- ran across an interesting idea for above gasket; but need to find out the thickness of this gasket material..idea is to replace the 2 fuel crossover rings with viton oring and the fill in the rest of gasket with the strip gasket material; use viton. the real seal is at the crossovers and the rest is to keep any gas backup from falling onto the top of the engine ...thxs kenai
