That's exactly what I understood the problem to be...other than the lust part, that is.... :smilie_happy:
 
nope you guys are correct. that is the bolt. understand stopdrilling and possibly can weld according to the local welder. thanks for the input
 
Still I think something else brought on the crack because I think that little bolt would strip or snap off before cracking the head from getting too tight.

When installing the head, tighten the head bolts in the proper sequence and watch the head to make sure it's pulled tight against the gasket. Tighten the small bolt last.
