I am looking for a pair of Engine crash bars for an '83 1100. A member here has some for a 1200. I suspect that they are not interchangeable from things that I have been told, but I wanted to make sure. Are the engine crash bars interchangeable between an 1100 and a 1200?

1000 and 1100 are interchangeable but 1200 are not

its why the 1200 timing cover on theright side of motor kisses the frame on a 1100 and dosnt on the 1200 frames witch is raked more and lower in seating hieght than 1100s or 1000s

assuming were are not limiting the scope of (1000-1100) interchangeability here to stock crashbars,

there can certainly be interchangeability issues even within the the 1000 and 1100 line,

i've seen 1000 crash bars that ..no way they will go on a 1100, at least not in a simple bolt on way,

you can also have lower fairing mounting/interference issues when mounting any crashbars on a 1100, even when the crashbar will physically fit and bolt on to the frame easy

I am anti ebay/paypal, so I look the old fashioned way.
After a couple not so smooth transactions I'm starting to feel that way too brother.

I have never used it, but there are enough horror stories out there to make me want to stay away.
There is a process that needs to be followed using ebay. Me......90% of the stuff I have bought has been good, correct or working as listed, but I do not take chances on critical items.

My girls and I restored the '82 with 95% parts mostly from ebay! (about $2500 worth of stuff over the whole process).
