Ive heard of some people using regular car tires on the rear of their goldwings, has any one heard of this?

No I think the issue at hand is getting the right sized tire for the bike
if the cost factor isn't too high it would be a one time modification and he could go with a car tire or a bike tire. not that i'm promoting this. personally i think it would be a bad idea for me to use a car tire from the vids i've seenjrscamhlspouse":bnwrp0gu said:Why go to all that trouble? One of the issues is also the actual design of the tire. Auto tires are not made to run on the sidewalls, so cornering is a big boo-boo waiting to happen. Add in that auto tires are not really rounded on the sides, makes turning at all a bit harder, as well as making the ride harsher.
If you're running a hack, a car tire would be fine....unless you have a leaner rig. :read:
