This is my third Goldwing, I had A 82, 2013 and now 1991. Couldn't bring my self to spend the money on another new one. I think the 1500 is A nicer design than the 1800. Don't get me wrong, the 1800 was A sweet ride. I have always wanted A 1500.

1500 is a super-slab mile eater. 1800 is a beast in the twisties.

So far so good, except fir the heel toe shifter. Going back with stock shifter

1500 wings handle pretty darn well too but the 1800's have much better brakes

I agree, I was surprised at the power of the 1500 being 25 horses less than my 1800.

My friend was following me on my 1800 and He said I need to slow down thru the twisties. They do handle like A sport bike.

That maybe true to you and others that have a gl1800 but you have to be careful of who you ride with what they riding and your passenger. I myself having an old GL 1200 I like to enjoy my ride my bike not going so fast but did by myself let it rip but not into curves at my age and I definitely wouldn't try to chase you into something I'm not comfortable with. Back in the day riding my cb750 supersport with a 836 stage 3 kit I went between two trucks on a two lane highway with a passenger. Thank God I'm still riding at 63. Stay safe.

weird, i never really thought much of my 1500, been riding a gs1200, now im liking my 1500 more and more, fast, smooth.
