That must have hurt.....

No pain here,
I just get a case of new bikeitis or a springtime fickle feeling.
I like to swap bikes fairly often.
But I gotta say, that ole girl was a good one.

Sad but i`m sure they will be happy riding it, maybe they`ll join the forum....mine is going on 5K miles after a 30 some year sleep and seems to run better and better, cept when I forget to turn the gas on.

Yep, definitely.
These old wings want to be ridden and run better with regular use.

Sitting idle for a long time hurts more than being ridden every day. It took a little bit with the 1200, but since I got it running smooth, it hasn't given me any problems... other than wearing tires out.

Yea tires, brakes, belts, oil, filters, coolant, battery's, wear & tear items, terrible. :smilie_happy:

Well my very good GL 1100 was adopted last night.
Never gave me a moments trouble or serious issue.
Not too bad for a 34 year old bike. Gotta love those Honda's.
I'm sure she will continue to serve her new owner well.
By the way that is a beautiful looking bike, had to hurt to sell it.

Thanks, it was a pretty nice looking oldwing that drew complements at stops and lights regularly. I intended to polish out the aluminum engine covers to really make it pop but never got enough enthusiam, Lol
I did it on my 77 with different grits of wet/dry sandpaper and a drill with attachments, looks great but thats a tedious nasty job with them in place.

Had Bradshaw bikes polish mine, your right, if the cover sat upright you can get away with leaving them or painting but with these wings it's as important as the tank or side covers.

Who knows what I'll pick up next.
