i just made a deal for a 85....LTD...its all apart ..witch is good cause i need to put it in a car....seems everything is there but trunk.....will be quite the project...not sure what the plan will be.....If all the FI parts work might go with that.....or may hooch it....what ever seems best path.....steve83 will be my guru man im sure.....will try to get motor to run first ..probably in bare frame ....to check out if FI is up to running condition.....seems to me the FI 1200s were one of the best effort dressers honda did....i think it has cruise conttol and other goodies for its time...we will see ....couldnt psss up the gamble....

my herd of wings got riped off ....this will be the new start of another .....

Great! Good you have a new project to modify the daylights out of! Hooch has about all he can take.

ive been going over all the info i can find on FI bikes.....which ain't much...also there seems to huge lack of success in FI project bike threads....i will look at things closely and give the system the same chance i did for stock carbs...but there is not much out there .....if anyone out there knows of a good FI thread with results id like to see it......mm

with the way my posts are coming out....i can expect any interpretation LOL...im sort of leaning towards trying to use early cams ..in the fi heads ...and see if i can make the early cams from 1000 371 cams ...work the cam sensors like the stock fi cams do....have no clue at moment...im sure pistons would have to notched so valves wouldn't hit ...as like all my projects i want better performance.......this all might be wishful thinking .....hooch bike runs so well its hard not to go this route......it so reliable .....id take it anywhere no matter how far......time for ride right now before rain starts ...been having storms here last couple days

at the moment i dont see a doghouse in the near future.....im in the land of taking care of my first wife....there is much ...this takes most my time.....sometimes all....she's a wonderful person and will get my utmost i have ...going to get the bike presents care problems im working on

When I first read your post I thought you meant you'd be putting the engine in a car.

:headscratch: Right??!? :hihihi:

If it can be done Joe, yer the guy to do it....(get it runing right, not putting it in a car....tho you could prolly do that pretty well, too!) :good:

I was thinking maybe a revisit of an old style cycle car, could be cool!
