i met up with a large group of friends yesterday about 10am, they were only heading down to Toledo, i was just tagging along. i thought we might be on the road by11am but we didn't get on the road until noon, i wasn't real happy about. waiting two hours to make a trip thats about an hour long, not cool !! when we finally got on the road they took m-14 west. the weather guessers were already calling for rain and it was very cloudy and windy too. it was 63f though it didn't feel like it because of the breeze. they took m-39 south but passed by I-94, thats not a good way to go with a large group cause m-39 turns from an expressway to a high volume street with plenty of traffic lights along the way. i parted ways with them and headed west on I-94, i saw two others from the group but they exited off I-94 so they could turn around and catch up with the group. i was rolling south on I-275 when it started to sprinkle, it wasn't enough to even clean my face shield. i made it to I-75 and stopped at the pilot truck stop at exit 18, from the parking lot you can see traffic going south or coming off the expressway. after waiting 15 minutes ( they shouldn't have been that far behind me ) i made the 18 miles and crossed the boarder into ohio. i made another stop on alexis road and waited but they never went by.

i took I-280 over to green belt parkway and headed downtown. i made a couple stops that i usually go to but didn't take any pic's. i set the GPS to take me to the post office and off i went but i got got distracted by this fire truck, there was a large bike club in the parking lot so i took my pic from the curb, didn't want to disturb them

at this point i really didn't have a plan on where to go ( i usually don't ). after following starr st, south for awhile i ended up crossing the route 2 bridge so i could head back downtown. so i could make my way home. i took 65 downtown then headed west on cherry st, at a stop light i noticed how bad the Mighty ST 1300 was running so i made a stop at autozone for a can of seafoam. with a half can of seafoam in each tank i was back on the road, i took central st. over to lagrange then took manhattan north to summet st, where i stopped for a couple of pic's

i crossed the boarder back into michigan taking summit st. to get there then took I-75 north for the 5 mile ride up to the michigan welcome center for a mandatory stop, i didn't have a " go anywhere " bag with me. back on the road i got off the expressway at elm st and headed over to see what became of the old ford monroe plant, found it fenced in and being used as a parts plant. leaving there i headed west on elm st until i got here

after looping both sides of the raisin river i got back on elm st. and took it west 125, to and through downtown monroe, mi. 125 dumps you onto us-24 north, just the way i wanted to go. i took I-275 back to I-94 and then m-39. i exited m-39 at rotunda rd. and made a left turn on greenfield rd. so i could get something to eat. the pizza place was closed, wendy's was closed too so i made my way home. once in my driveway it started to lightly rain, i was in too much of a hurry trying to get the Mighty ST under a cover to get the mileage though but it was over 110 miles, forgot one Toledo pic
