Thought I'd see if these hand wind shields would work on my GL1200. Anyone who has ridden in the cold knows how absolutely torturous it can be thawing out frozen hands at the fuel pumps.

Since I have this wide aftermarket windshield with moulded sanctions leading to the fairing the shields don't allow full steering to the stops but enough to engage the key lock.

I took a few minutes to just admire this machine that has, so far, taken me thousands of miles with nary a mechanical issue or wanting more from the engine, chassis, or fairing. Honda really hit one out of the park with the GL1200. Buying this for $800 and putting it back into service was the best two wheel decision I've ever made.

Hoping this record continues in two week as I ride from Houston to Midland and back over two days for a nighttime Christmas lights ride in the co-pilot seat of a Commemorative Air Force Twin Beech.

On my '82 Standard, I had a Plexi-faring III that extended past the handgrips. It worked great for deflecting cold, winter air!

How did you get your engine so bright or did they come from the factory like that? That early 80's Japanese cruiser styling hasn't been matched since imo.
