You just need to ride faster Maurice! :smilie_happy:

In six months I think it has. Where I work 95 Fahrenheit is considered comfortable. It does get hot though.

It's been the typically Gulf coastal July and August here. No rain, humidity thick enough to cut with a knife, lots of triple digit days.
Sometimes it just makes more sense to ride in an air conditioned truck and not arrive where ever looking all haggard and sweaty.
I love riding but this time year makes me choose plan B fairly often.

I'm driving the cager to work today. :(

~O~
I've been driving the cage since my trip to Muskegon, mi. a few weeks ago. my front brakes started grinding while there, the oil needed to be changed ( done now ) when I got home, and the front tire is cupped soo bad in places that I'm down to the wear bars, haven't had time to drop it off to get the tires replaced

While we're on the subject of heat please everyone stay very hydrated. Close call for me today. After 8 hours of sweating profusely. I left work for the ride home. About a mile and a half from the house I thought there was something wrong with the bike. It just wouldn't track the line I chose. I stopped to look at the bike and it was fine. It was me. I was so dizzy I struggled to put the stand down. Long story short I went to the emergency room. Heat exhaustion was the verdict. Doc says stay home a few days. :heat:

Does this count :salute: ?
Rest up and hydrate Slab. Good to hear that you didn't become a statistic

Thankfully there was very little traffic and some very observant helpful people. I'm happy I had enough sense to stop when I did.

hmmm what a disgusting work place where v works ...union and all ... 1000% worthless and noncaring ...seems vs union is just organize slavory and attitude adjustment ...unions effectively accomplish one thing well .... you either buy job on a monthly bases or loose it ...yep all workers need the scums of labor and management and also there soup can maker bosses on top of everything ......nothing like the worker protection ...american style sheesh what a joke .. :cheeky:

I've had heat exhaustion like V had. Very dangerous especially when it comes on operating any machinery or driving. Even staying well hydrated isn't a guarantee it's not going to happen. Only thing I know is breaks out of the heat. When it's bad here in temps, I sit in the van with it running and air blasting full until I feel comfortable again. No job is worth taking chances.
