I know someone stated a Rebel was a starters bike, however you are kinda just starting. My daughter just started riding. We had a heck of a time getting her to listen and start with the Rebel. She is very happy she did now. It is easy for her to handle and learn on. She also found out how easy a bike can go down with rocks around! ( I told her BUT momma don't know!) :Doh2: She now is saying she will get a bigger bike eventually. Is there someone that has a smaller bike for you to get the rust off so to speak? I would hate to hear of you getting hurt and having to fix your dads bike too. Best of luck to you DaddysGirl. I admire you for your guts. :music: Rock on for not being a girlygirl! My daughter and I are like you.

Here's a little inspiration for ya...

If she can, you can! Go for it! She's 4'-11", and needed a bit of help with the side stand, but with those 2x4's on your feet - no problem! Where there's a will, there's a way!

AGAIN, Thanks everybody! I feel like I went to a party, met a bunch of great people and they're now all good friends. What a warm and welcoming place this site is! :thanks:
My first thought re:starter bike was "NO WAY" but you make a lot of sense to me Burtha, (with 4 of my own I know momma knows) I would like to get the rust out first, so to speak, until I feel confident. I sure wouldn't want to mess up Dads classics. Unfortunately I don't know anyone with a bike I can practice on so I'll have to think on that one. Sounds great C5, I'll have to google those events & if I'm riding by then I'd love to meet up w/you. The chick in the video handles that big bike like a master, but does someone have to ride along with her so she can get off the bike when she stops? That I wouldn't like! Anyway, not going anywhere so ill just keep reading and learning on this great site.
Thanks again :laptop:

~O~
She rides like a professional. I wonder if she got her training on one of the white ones with the pretty flashing lights on the right???
