You could also consider finding a set of 1100 carbs and send them off to be overhauled... they will bolt right up and I believe they have some improvements over the 1000 original... Randakk's has a kit for either set.. comes complete fir the series of carbs you rebuild.. I think there is a dvd to show rebuild... but I have not done any rebuilding...yet! ... so I am not sure on the disc..

Yes the 1100 carbs fit but setting the air fuel mixture on them is a royal pain.

Welcome: You say your comfortable with a single carb, follow all the advise from the guy's on this forum and check out Randaks tutorials you will be alright.
