Hello,
I’m new to the board.
I recently bought a 1985 GL1200i project bike. The previous owner had taken the body work off and disassembled the brakes. He lost interest in the project and I bought it because my wife told me to get a Goldwing and I’m cheap (and like working on bikes)
I’ve been reading this and other forums looking for help in putting the bike back together and getting it back on the road.
Today I’m going to try to remove the rack of carburetors as the bike has been sitting for a while and the choke plungers are all gummed up and stiff.
I’ve also got a (pretty rough) 1983 GL1100 which needs a bit more work than the 1200 in order to get back on the road.
Thanks for all the info on the site!
