hello everyone,

just picked up a 1981 gl1100 as my first street bike and for a winter project, just wondering what would be the easiest way to the drain the fuel tank as it had been sitting for a few months before i bought it?

welcome to CGW...there is no easy way on 1100s ....just siphon it out is the best way

If it has only been sitting for a few months, I wouldn't worry too much, just use the gas. If it has been sitting for a few years, that is different!

Agreed just run it though.
If it's spitting and farting you could drain what's in it using a separate pump and fill with fresh or just run it to the gas station and fill with fresh. Either way, ride it!
