What do you guys think is the maximum weight for a passenger on a GL1100?
You most likely won't hurt the bike (except tire wear), but it may be unstable when stopped, making slow speed turns or increased braking distance.":2by2j9ac]I found in the book that with all accessories and whatnot the max limit is 490. A passenger and I exceed that by about 130-150 pounds. We should be able to ride a bit, right??? I don't mind being a bit wobbly from being a bit overloaded, I just don't want to actually hurt the bike.
True but fatigued and aged parts are more prone to break.":9dq4b204]I am sure in the grand scheme of things over the last 30-40 years there have been many miles covered by the more robust owners that would exceed Hondas load specifications. If we stuck to the manufactures requirements in loading/overloading there would not be a tow bar on any bike.
Know what ya mean......my knees are killing me! :smilie_happy:":38xu8di9]True but fatigued and aged parts are more prone to break.":38xu8di9]I am sure in the grand scheme of things over the last 30-40 years there have been many miles covered by the more robust owners that would exceed Hondas load specifications.
