That's the only explanation I can come up with. Either that, or they're just toying wid me.... :Awe:
This started with my stator problem, carried on thru the stator replacement, ignition snafu, head gaskets, water pump, perceived overheating, and now....a flat on my fairly new rear tire.... :crying:
I got ready to leave werk yesterday, went out and took the cover off the bike, and fired it up to run it around front of the building to be in the shade for a few minutes before heading out. Swung my leg over, rocked it down off the center stand, and....THUMP....wtf?!? Felt like I was sitting on a Big Wheel.
Looked down, and sure enough...rear tire flatter than a Texas roadkill possum. Couldn't even man-handle it back up on the center stand. Had to ride it forward enough to get to the valve stem, and shoot some air in it. Spun it around, looking for the problem, and...sure enough...big ol roofing nail, smack dab in the center of the tread. One of the guys here had a plug kit, so I plugged it. Or...at least I tried. The first one went in fine...and came right out with the tool...several times. The third one finally stayed put, and held air. Got me home, anyway. Before I left this mornin, I checked the air in the tire, and it had a little over 30psi...the gauge I used at the shop said I had 42 or so in it. Putting it down to a difference in gauges, I aired it up to 42 psi with my usual gauge. Sure hope the plug holds...I still gotta have a new front tire SOON. Can't afford to have to buy another rear one, too...this one only has about 1000 miles on it.
"Gloom, despair, and agony on me...
deep dark depression, excessive misery.
If it weren't fer bad luck, I'd have no luck at all.
Gloom, despair, and agony on me...." :crying:  :crying:
