Today at 12:17pm my sweet brother Gerald Richard Burke very peacefully passed away as myself and one of his life long childhood friends held his hands. He had been under the care of Hospice since 8pm yesterday, and they took wonderful care of him. Next year we and his friends plan to scatter his and my mother's ashes together on Mt. Diablo which dominates the skyline of what we all consider our home town Concord Ca. As I've told many, I loved being Jerry's brother, fighting battles for him. I was once asked "are you going to fight all of his battles for him?" and replied "yes." Well today with the help of my wonderful wife and childhood friend Jim, I helped him fight his last battle. I love you Jerry, and instead of missing you too much, I'll just cherish the time we had together, as brothers and friends.
