I think slab wins the price for the last dialup user in the world.
But think of the bandwidth that is all his!! :smilie_happy:
Hah yeah, all 56 k on a good day :smilie_happy:

Joel, I would shoot the device before going through all that! :whip:

I like my TV setup, good old fashioned antenna in the attic through what used to be a cable TV network throughout the house down to a 46" HD TV. You might be shocked to find out how many channels are broadcasting free and 99% broadcast in 1080 HD!

Gerry, broadcast TV is also going out in 4k...much better than 1080p, but then again...do you REALLY wanna see some of these TV personalities in HD?

I'm with you, Brian......Gerry is a 'bit' slow to get on the technology train.....LMAO
What are you guys talking about??? :whip:

I am up on my tech stuff........as a matter of fact, I even got a TV with a remote now!! :cheeky: :smilie_happy:

(BTW....not sure who is up on what, but I do have to remind you that you are both riding on 35+ year old technology with these old bikes! :smilie_happy: )

Your wife and daughter does not count as a remote control! :smilie_happy:

If you think my bikes are old, you should see some of my woodworking tools. None of my power tools are younger than I am and some are even older than my parents and my shotgun was made in 1931. There is something to be said about things that were made in the 30's and 40's and are still working today as if they were just made.

I just bough our first cordless telephone for our house phone this week! :clapping: (We are jumping right on that new technology around here!)

It is soooo cool! Now I can walk around the house without being leashed to a wall phone! :smilie_happy:

Now you will spend all this time trying to find where you left your cordless phone, least with the wall phone you always know where it is.. :smilie_happy:

Simple...set up the antenna (don't fall for the magic "Digital Antenna" crap, any TV antenna works, I am still using rabbit ears on the older TV's), have a TV that has a digital tuner built in (all new TV's have it), plug in and scan the channels. Done!

If you have an older analog signal TV, you will need a DTV converter box that connects at the TV. Just run the antenna wire into it and follow the same process. I have 2 older TV's using DTV converters.

(BTW, they forgot to mention the fact that when HD signals are sent to older CRT type TV's, the picture is extraordinary!!)

I've a similar set up but my antennae is outside on the roof with a rotater. My big CRT tv died last year finally. So I do have one flat screen tv in the house. :whistling:

I twisted several paper clips together and stuck one end into the ANT IN jack. With a little bending and twisting, I get all the major broadcasters in HD. I did this to prove to my nephew that you don't need to pay for TV, that it can actually be pulled right out of the air! Ahhh, the cable generation...

:headscratch: I'm being robbed.... :Awe: I don't watch tv that much anyways...i got to rethink this ..How many channels do you get with the antenna.
I am in the Philadelphia market and we get about 35 to 38 channels.

Hmmmm..... :headscratch: ..I live in the hills so to speak, there are around 250,000 people in a 30 mile radius, close to fort smith ar. maybe an hour aways, same as tulsa ok...Hmmm maybe i could get 20 channels...i like free..since i'm never watching tv till around 6pm anyways for a hour or so.
