Tuesday I get a call from the IRS(they only notify by mail), I didn't recognize the number so I didn't answer. The call went to voice mail and a message was left. When I listened to the message a computer generated female voice tells me that they have been trying to reach me for some time and that this call is to notify me that they are filing suit. please call "I R S services"(wtf?) at 202-bla bla bla for information on this case file.

I called the number knowing it was a scam and an Indian guy answers "Hello IRS," I say in a cocky voice "so I'm being sued eh?" and he hangs up. I call the number back, no answer. I call a third time and the same voice timidly says "hello?" I ask the guy if this is the "IRS" and he says "yes," I ask "the government IRS," and he says "no private IRS." so I said "that's what I thought, kiss my ass Abu" and hung up. :smilie_happy:

IRS, eh? "Indian Retirement Scam"......they'll get enough naive folks to give them all their info, so they can clean their bank accounts out, and retire....
Scumbags... :sensored:
I always mess with the jerks like that that call me....tell them I'm in the bathtub, or ask what they're wearing, anything to keep them off subject. They eventually hang up, and take my number off their list. :whip:

Got one too, area code 202..If you get one with that area code don't bother answering it, matter of fact I never answer any phone number thats private or I don't recognize, damn phone rings all day with them.

If I get a call like that, I'd still report the phone number to Callercenter.com and expose the person behind the call. While we may recognize the phone scam easily, there may be others who are not aware. When we spread the word, it's a good way to save others from falling victim to the scheme.
