The other day I made the comment that I thought I heard the 1100 whimper because I was spending too much time on the 1200. I should have kept my :sensored: mouth shut! I came home from a night out with momma and what did I find? Why what else but a puddle of oil under the forks. :head bang:

Looks like I may be moving the maintenance schedule up quite a bit...

Mine leaked.....I think all the fluid out.

Problem solved.

That's what i was thinking too!

They don't "need" lube but it sure helps the ride. If all the fluid has leaked out your brake pads may need attention too.

Without the oil, won't that only help the parts to wear out a lot quicker?

Yes, they will. But they will work without the oil. The ride would be bad enough without it you wouldn't want to ride much anyway.

Oil reduces the rebound rate ( dampening) and gives control to the suspension. It is the same effect as having no shock absorbers on a vehicle, not recommended in any way if you value control and safety...

yes tony I agree big time ...oldwings are big bikes ... hooch has so much power now ...all I can think about when power is in the moment is how flimsy and all sudden not capable feeling I get about the rest of the bike ....
