How are these working out Ron?

I just got the bike on the road and haven't had a chance to pay attention to it yet. With the tailight fuse problem, and now the starter thing..... and Agnus being out of commision till I pull the engine and figure that out..... :head bang: :head bang: :head bang:..... :laptop: :builder:  :laptop: :builder:  :laptop: :builder:

When I get to the point of being able to concentrate on it, I'll have to read the instructions. :read: But I do plan to let you know. Someday. :ahem:

I want a setup that not only monitors pressure but adds air anytime it's low. Automagicly! :smilie_happy:   Wonder how many that would weigh?

The TireGard I got from ebay finally showed up yesterday. This one has 3 sensors for a trike/3 wheeler set up.

Comes with sensors, recievers, batteries, and anti-theft device.

I don't really expect to need to deter theft, but they might help to keep them from flying away on the highway.

This is a very expensive setup everywhere I looked, but I found this one on ebay with a .99 cent starting bid. The auction ended with 10 bids, winning bid was $31 and $10 for shipping from Texas.
I haven't had the chance to mess with them yet, but I'll let you know how they do after useing them for awhile.

Well, I've been playing with it for just about a week now. So far it seems to work. First of all, you're not going to see this thing while riding. At least not with "my" eyes.
Small bummer, but...

...I don't need to see it, not really. You set the minimum & maximum tire pressures for each tire individually. Then it will alert you when the tire pressure for a given tire exceeds those limits either way. So if you set the minimum at 32 psi and the maximum at 40 psi, it will alert you when the pressure exceeds 40 psi, or when it drops below 32 psi. I set the alarm so that it would alert me with a cold tire in the morning, and be within my set range by the time I got to work. The alarm will beep and vibrate intermittantly when there is a problem (pressure too high or too low). Otherwise, it's simply monitoring the tire pressures and displaying the current state. I carried the fob in my shirt pocket and could feel the vibration very good, but hearing the beeps on the freeway didn't happen and in traffic was kinda hit & miss. Guess my hearing ain't what it used to be?
The scratches are on the protective film.

You can also push the buttons on the side to turn on backlight momentarily, and another one to read temps, which are also set to min/max alert points.

I'll recomend it because I'm happy mine works. It's a neat little gadget and I got this one cheap. But I don't understand why they are so expensive. It's just plastic and batteries. Not a whole lot more there than a six dollar watch. But as long as it's working I give it a thumbs up. :good:
