markland bulb replacement

just bought a 1083 aspecade with markland running lights want to swap them out to led lights what are the bulbs i need been unable to remove old one and dont want to break bulb to get it out

Welcome from North TEXAS DFW area.... Hmm did you try just pulling it straight out? ? Could be that glass bayonet type mount.. other wise they push and twist.. (btw this should have posted in the tech forum you will get some answers anyway..)

well it could be .. the lights are really stuck and no choice but to get aggressive to get them out ...or lets say determine

thanks everyone figured out just go to a place called batteries and bulbs and since that is where im going for the leds ill have them figure it out just too jacket up right now had not ridden in allmost 32 years and found this bike with only 29000 miles doc told the guy to sell the toys went over there asap road for 5 min bought it and drove it back 350 miles to home just like before love the wing

Welcome to the forum, you probably are talking about the petersen or peterson running lights. The top of the bulb is about flush with the housing and with clean dry fingers you can just about grip it enough to turn and remove. Replacement LED`s wont be any fun to install but if you go with a 50/50 type/top mount LED you can fabricate somethin from tubing to install them. It will sit so deep you really dont need side lighting LED`s so get the brightest top mount LED or maybe start with a not so bright but get RED color or Amber whatever color your lens is, white LED`s will wash out whatever color lens you have so match the color to the lens.

went to 5 sources and batteries plus bulbs couldnt help went to honda shop in everett and 4 mechs werent able to help also but got more info on the markland running lights it appears that markland went out of buisness 10 15 years ago . was going to put small dab of superglue on bulb and toothpick . ah haa tried duck tape and volla it came out the bulb is w 1895 and looking at local shop for bulbs

on another subject took goldy out for another ride to get better with it since havent rode in allmost 32 years all came back other buddys have hardly doesnothings wanted to know if I could handle a 100 mile ride for child abuse rally . laughted at them I bought goldy just out of walla walla 297 miles from home and after 5 min ride bought it came home and got off bike and still is like being in an arm chair
