I've been going through some stuff and found this video I made of the first cross country ride on my 83 GW.
The video's I got from someone else since at the time I didn't own a video camera so the entire video takes place in Arizona.
My brother is on the rented black 1800.
The anticipation of the ride sure made it hard to sleep the couple days prior and it was all we talked about.
We rented an 1800, I think it was an 05, from a Honda dealer in Torrance.
My brother hadn't riden for many years so we took mine to a parking lot the day before so he could get used to it.
Good times, he laid it down twice but no damage.
Our route took us down to San Diego then over to Yuma Arizona to stay the night at a forum member's home.
Great bunch of people who fed us well and opened their home to us.
Next morning before day break we rode up to Phoenix where we hooked up with the other guys you'll see in the video.
I will never forget how amazing ideal the weather was our entire 3 day trip!
It was completely calm and clear with temps in the 70's to low 80's during the day which made a very memorable middle of the night ride North to Phoenix with temps in the mid 60's!
