The difference between your new wing and the cb750 is about as drastic as the difference between the 750 and 440. You will need to get used to the weight difference and ground clearance. The wing cannot lean as far without scraping.

That just about covers it all.

I went from a GS550 to an 800 Intruder to an 1100 GoldWing. Once you realize you aren't on a bike that you can throw around like the smaller bikes, it really isn't that bad. Soon enough you will find that you are throwing the big bike around just like the smaller bike, just not as quickly.

Another thing to realize, the GoldWing is meant for enjoying the ride whereas other bikes are meant for riding enjoyment.

I still forget to enjoy the ride and mainly have riding enjoyment on the Rats Nest ( even if it doesn't, stop or accelerate as fast as a sports bike  )
:good: :moped:

I am guilty of the same thing Tony... I like to hear the engine tickling the red-line.

The hardest thing to get used to I think will be the way the handle bars are more turned in. My last two bikes had more of a straighter paralell grip. Not sure why its one way or another.

I beleive that I wouldn't of been able to do our trip in 2013 of 4200 miles in 6 1/2 days on my CBRs even though I think that they are excellent sports tourers. Even the Rats Nest got a bit uncomfortable for my butt, luckily I had a Walmart memory foam chair cushion for such emergencies :smilie_happy:
Once you get used to the GW you will be amazed how comfortable it is  :moped:

We'll have to coordinate a ride up the Wolf River or Door County come spring!

I was finally able to get back and look at the bike again today. Many of you were wondering what the steering neck says for the model. The steering sticker does indeed say GL1200. With no I or A or any other letter. Also some more pictures.
