Hello all, I'm new to this forum but you may have seen my screen name on other Goldwing forums.
I did own a GL1500 trike which I had to sell years ago, wasn't a pleasant experience.
I recently found a 1983 GL650I Silverwing Interstate (Baby Goldwing). :good:
I built trikes for 8 years mostly Goldwings.

Thank you for the welcome gentlemen.
I do recognize a few of the names here.
I lurked for a while before becoming a member.
I look forward to sharing my knowledge with the members here.

Welcome to the forums trike lady!

Your experience in trike building will be valuable to other members!

Tell us, which bikes did you trike?
Is there a common axle used you prefer? Solid? independent?

Thank you for the welcome.
Most of the trike conversions were for GL1500/1800 bikes with either a solid axle or independent suspension conversion. I also converted touring model HDs to trikes. I have converted Sportsters to trikes with a solid axle conversion to make some 'Puddle Jumper' trikes. If you want a good riding/handling trike I suggest the independent suspension and changing the triple trees to 4.5 degrees of rake does help make the trike steer easier. I have a source for older GL conversions.
