Just wanted to introduce myself,, my name is Rik and I live in Casper, Wy. I have been riding lots of various bikes for about 20 years, but I just bought my 1st Goldwing, a 1975 gl1000 with 56k original miles, she is in nice shape and I have some plans including painting the entire bike, new seat, etc. Thought I would drop in and say hi!

Welcome to the CGW Forums, Rik!!! :clapping: :clapping: :clapping:

thank you for the warm welcome all of you , and I am sure I have plenty of reading to do... I am thinking of cutting down the clear lexan in the fairing for a little more of a bagger look,,,, do you have any write up's on that??

Welcome Rik! Nicely dressed 75. If I'm not mistaken though it looks like the wheels have been changed.

Yes, good eye, the wheels have been changed. Also if my memory serves correctly the fairing, bags, and floorboards would be add on as the '75 came stock as more of a "naked" wing.

Hi Rik,

Frank again, I am too a new Goldwing owner, I have been actively riding since 1974 and Love riding.

I too have owned a variety of bikes, biggest till I bought my Wing was a GS750L Cruiser which I still have and am working on to get up and running also. I bought the wing cause I have always wanted one and want to do some longer rides and the 750 as much as I like it just isn't as comfortable as the Wing.

I bought my wing from a guy in Cheyenne and as I said at a good price, Glad to see another join the ranks I think all in all the Goldwing is the Cadillac of motorcycle's and even though it is getting expensive to buy new ones there are plenty of older used ones for all of us poorer folk to buy.. Hi Hi !

Hope to hook up with you in the future, soon as I have it reliable to ride maybe we can meet sometime for a ride.

Again Welcome,

Frank Jenkins
