I have been riding for years and just August of last year I purchased a 1981 GL1100I that needed work. I went through it and cleaned everrything, rebuilt the carbs, and replaced timing belts. It ran like a dream. Took it to WOS in Fletcher NC in Sept. and won 1st place in bike show. March 31st of this year I was run off the road into the median at highway speed totalling the bike. I was wearing all the gear (long pants, boots over the ankles, full finger gloves, armor jacket, and full face helmet) which I always do. As a member of GWRRA and ACD for our local chapter, I fully beleive in ATGATT - All The Gear All The Time. Here are pics of my bike before the accident, after the accident, and I will post another after I finish rebuilding it again. Glad to be part of this forum.

Welcome Steven to CGW from south Arkansas. My mother lived in Sanford for a year or so and I visited there several times. Real nice place. Glad you weren't seriously injured in your accident.
