Due to the paint being age-cracked on my '84 Aspencade, I recently repainted it yellow. I chose yellow for visibility. Since the new paint I have been told the bike looks much newer. I painted all plastic pieces seperately, off the bike and then re-assembled everything after painting. It was quite a job but I am very happy with the results.

It certainly makes it easy to find in the parking lot. But don't count on traffic seeing you now. I painted my truck yellow and still have people pull out in front of me.

My solution is to ride as though I'm invisible. Most drivers are only looking for vehicles as big or bigger than the one they occupy. Yes even a Geo is bigger than a wing.

Even thats not always true. I used to drive a Frieghtliner Flatbed, enough lights on it to make a Xmas tree jealous but I STILL had people fail to see me. One Accord driver even tried to drive underneath me once, after bouncing off my rear tires she told the Officer " I didn't even see it there". How she could miss seeing that part of the truck still boggles my mind to this day since at least ONE of the side running lights had to be shining into her car (night time so almost all my lights were on).

@Daljaz, thats a sweet looking paint job.

That IS one YALLER Goldwing, for sure!!! :clapping: :clapping: :clapping:
Certainly does make it look like a newer 1800. Very nice job!! :good: :clapping:

I love yellow,my panhead used to be yellow and im aiming for it again someday

Hopefully he didn't get run over with all that high visibility yellow paint. But then you all know that infamous line " I didn't see you"
