Last year I had a great time camping on my way from New Jersey to Florida and back towing my trailer and just having a blast. The only complaint I had is my tent. It is a great 4 person Field & Stream with easy setup, but it is only about 4 feet tall in the center and it is getting real hard to get changed all hunched over in there. Before the trip, I bought a real cheap easy pop up changing tent that worked for the trip, but I really wanted something taller for the whole tent.
Two summers ago when Brian and I rode to the CGW Midwest Meet (what a great time that was!!), we camped along the way and also at Joe's place. Brian made me think real hard about my tent after seeing his 7' clearance in his tent!
Reading up on several other forums that do trailer camping and tent camping, one style of tent keeps getting good reviews; the Instant-tents! Basically, they have the poles built right into the tent. Unfold, lock the poles tent is up in less than 60 seconds! For me, I am not going to be affording a motorcycle camper trailer anytime soon ($1500 average for a used unit), but I sure like the idea that many of those campers setup by just flipping open the lid!
Well, I have been watching prices and tents for quite some time and came across the right tent at the right price!!! (More to come!)
