Just wanted to say HI to all the fellow Wingers. I've been working on and riding Wings for over 30 years and now make repairing them my source of income. I'll chime in whenever I get a chance and look forward to all the great reads.

Welcome to the CGW Forums, 2manywings!!! :clapping: :clapping: :clapping:
Ya cain't have too many 'Wings, and we can never have too much help/info!

Yes William, I've been running an ad on CL for the last couple of months that I do alternator conversions. In fact I've got two in my shop right now. I've done alot of these using Don's kit with a few additional tweeks to the job. You can't beat the finished results in my opinion. My phone number is in the CL ad if you want to talk to me about it.

How about posting some pics of your finished install.
Curious too what your idle output is after.

I've got an '84 Interstate on the table right now that I'm doing the alt. conversion on. I'll take some pictures and see if I can figure out how to put them on the site.
As far as idle output... almost everyone I've done using the Nippondenso 55amp. alternator, I'm consistantly seeing 14.2-14.5 @ idle speed.
