Newbie saying hi

Hi all,from Northern Ireland.I have just bought an 82 Gl1100.It is a non runner and requires a lot of work,hopefully you can help me through it.
I previously had a Gl1500 which I regrettably sold a few years ago.I then had a Harley Sportster but it had to go to pay for my wedding.I didn't mind letting it go as I found it to be loud,clunky and compared to the goldwing,well rubbish.
I am still waiting to have the bike delivered as the owner has no registration document for it and the wait is killing me.I spend hours reading forum posts about problems and solutions and just can't wait to get my hands on it.
I'll post again when I get it home and start trying to get it running.
