We're here for ya Mark if you need any help when opening her up.

I appreciate that, Dan and will probably hold you to that!

Quick question, though. Just for a quick look-see, can I take the lower part of the radiator loose and move it as far as the lower hose will allow and gain enough room to get at the cover bolts? I know I could drain the radiator and reuse the coolant, but I’m lazy.

That should give enough slack to get at that inner bolt which is btw what I would do.

I pulled the left cover off and I am encouraged by what I see. It is as Dan called it, the crank seal that is leaking. The belts appear dry, so I'm thinking I will clean the oil off and just keep an eye on my oil level and watch for more drippage. There has been nothing leaking out since Thursday. Here's what I saw when I peeked inside:

It looks like very little oil has leaked.
I would order 2 belts and a crank seal and ride it til those come in as long as no oil is getting on the belts. Like you said keeping an eye on it and the oil level.

Looks dry to me too. I think you just had a little too much erl in it, and it puked a little from the crank seal there. As long as the erl level is kept in the middle of the window, it prolly won't dump any more like it did the other day....unless you have a habit of sliding up to stop signs/lights... :moped:
It should be fine until you get time/parts to fix it.
