There are different types plastics. Some yellow faster than others.
I see light lenses yellowed bad after just a few years, yet others that still look mostly like new with only a slight yellowing. I was told once by a light lens supplier there have been improvements to slow it down a lot though they will still eventually yellow.

beautiful colors !!! very interesting post ... I didnt even realizes I have been doing "something" like this on my motorbikes, this is rattle can with a two stage clear over it ( Gold with Met. garnet Red over it )
