I decided to start another project, I don't like laying on the ground because it's too hard to get back up, No really I've had some pretty nasty rain storms flood our tents in the past and I'm here to tell you , it ain't no fun.. So I wanted to rig something up so my trailer serves me better, I want more out of my trailer so this is what I came up with...View attachment 3View attachment 2View attachment 1 I can't afford one of those more expensive type foldout trailers so I just made something myself..Those don't look like they carry much of your camping stuff but mine will...Plywood lays flat inside on the bottom. If it really rains hard I can just throw a tarp over if I need to....Cool stuff..I'm 270lbs and it holds me just fine..I just step on the tongue section and slide in like a snake.. Air mattress fits perfectly inside the tent..Tent was $31.00 and I had the plywood.. :Egyptian:

Does the plywood stay on when traveling or get stowed somewhere?
The plywood is removed and placed on the inside of the trailer on the floor, still plenty of room for other stuff..I plan on taking more photo's to show what's going on under that tent, how it's fastened ect... It's simple and didn't cost much..

I like it that's pretty nice. If the ply wood stows in the trailer it must fold up, so how does it stay stable when set up?
Actually nothing folds up at all, the front piece of ply is mounted at the front top of the trailer and three bolts go striaght down thru the box and wing nuts on the underside, the rear piece has a angle with bolts fastened to it that go straight into the rear of the trailer..

OK I get it You have the front piece the back piece and the center piece is the top of the trailer. When I first looked at the photo I thought it was a full piece of plywood set on top of the trailer. Again nice job definitely nice to be off the ground.

I have more photo's for ya..View attachment 2View attachment 1 One thing I love about this is I walk around it and put the tent up, the screws are all in place where they go, I just hook the corners off and the lines are all ready too so it goes up pretty fast, but not as quickly as those expensive ones..But Mine cost less by alot..
