Progressive springs for ft. suspension.

I'm looking at progressive springs for the forks on my 83 GL1100 std. I have TRAC ft. forks and I seem to recall an exploded view of the fork shows 2 springs. If this is correct do the progressive springs replace both stock springs or just the top spring? Thanks.

Progressive springs are single and replace both stock springs.
