Question about the starter button

It happened again. No click or anything. I checked the voltage & it is 0v & when I push the starter button I got 12v. So I pulled the starter solenoid & the post going to the starter is loose inside. I’m pretty sure that isn’t good lol. So I’m waiting for the new solenoid to come from Amazon.com ($9 w/ Tax) because my local Honda shop said Honda wants $96 for one & if they order an aftermarket one is still $60. I’ll post again in a few days with the results.
 
Bad solenoid could certainly be the cause alright. Good price for a solenoid. Post up the link when you can.
 
Follow up... The new starter solenoid work fine but I put it on & the only things I can see wrong is the posts are reversed meaning the Honda OEM is the post closest to the battery is for the starter wire & the other is to the batt. On the aftermarket it is the other way around. I also had to cut the clip off that the tab goes into to hold the connector in BC the blade fuse is in the way.
