Did it have a brother for sale?
Joe's looks like it extends outward more than yours, more like a kick-stand does.[url=https://classicgoldwings.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=170711#p170711:3h1wjvjh said:mcgovern61 » 12 minutes ago[/url]":3h1wjvjh]
Is it possible that his is different because it is a 1000 frame vs mine is an 1100? The stand itself looks and operates exactly the same other than the mount.

That is great news! Congrats!! :clapping:
This is the Bates ride off stand. I also have a Wingleader ride off stand that fits in place of the original center stand. But the one I have is for the '80' - '81 model with the taller wheels. I tried it on my '82 and it is 1/2" too close to the ground. If the bike were 1/2" higher (like the '80- '81 models) it would work great!

Just to clarify:
Are you saying the Bates ride off C/S would not fit your 1982 because it was too close to the ground or were you saying this about the Wingleader stand. The one I bought though no brand information was listed looks identical to the Bates model in your picture.
