Does anyone know where I can find a thinner seat for my 83 gl1100? Something that fits the frame to jus basically cover the gas tank. Im not a real big fan of the bulky goldwing seats ive been up and down ebay and all but nothing seams to fit the bill. A link or a little direction wold be wonderfull.

Maybe talk to an upholsterer and see if they could custom your seat for you? ...

Do a search for cafe seat. I saw some on ebay for wings.

If you don't mind ugly, you can mod the stock by yourself.

Although, now I have stock thick seat and like it. I am getting old.

So to mod the stock seat I would just have to take the linning off and pull out the foam?

Cover off and cut the foam down to desired size and shape with bread knife. Electric knife works best I've read. Marine vinyl can be sewn on a home machine at the longest stitch to make your own cover if you like.
