brianinpa » Wed Jul 03, 2013 5:35 pm":23ao1b02]Ok, three bosses all say yes... well two did. The other boss: I just told her I was going :smilie_happy:

Plan on camping at Joe's. So I am thinking I am leaving PA Thursday afternoon with an overnight stop somewhere in Kentucky.

What is the earliest that we can arrive Joe?

Brian Why KY? I would think wheeling , to Ohio and in to Indian might be a shorter run to Joes place than dropping in to Ky. How are you thinking?

Less cities and Ohio does not honor my PA concealed carry license; Kentucky does. Sometimes that fact helps to determine the route I take.

If I do the super-slab, I-76 then drop down to I-64 into Louisville and then Northwest into French Lick.

Slabghost has me rethinking things and riding part of the way with him, so that would take me into Ohio for part of the trip. But then my wife was looking at the maps and saw how close French Lick is to Louisville. we have some old Navy friends that live in Louisville, so she is thinking about tagging along and spending the weekend in Louisville while I am at Joe's place... The down side of this idea would be that I would need to trailer the Wing to Louisville.

Dan at this time I would like to meet up with you somewhere around Indianopolis and ride down with you--If you are going through Indy. If not then I will go down I-71 through Cincy.

Either way I will meet up with anyone at I-hop just east of Columbus ohio- If anyone wants to meet there let me know.

Not enough time off to travel that far. Maybe some day when I can really retire. :whip:
That might be a good thing... too many retired Squids at Joe's place at teh same time, and it might never be the same again!

Guys, please use this new thread HERE to post your ride route and to see other's routes.

We're now keeping this thread devoted for everything else BUT ride routes related to the meet.

:thanks:

I have penciled in the date!! :clapping:
What's up with the pencil
:smilie_happy: You know my history! Every time I say "Here goes!" something else out of my control pops up! I am inclined to have to wait until closer to late spring before I can fully commit to going (although it is now a planned trip in my book!).
The pencil has been sharpened!! :yahoo:

The few obstacles in the way are being cleared!

My Wife is recovering very nicely from having two discs removed from her neck last April and then decided a ruptured appendix 4 weeks later for another surgery was a good idea! She is on her feet and functioning normally again!

Then it was my turn to have my knees worked on again! Still in the process of multiple injections but working so far!!

Today, I received approval from my work to take the time off for the Meet! :yahoo:

Looks like I am in!! I will be leaving on Thursday August 1. I have not decided yet if I am going south first, across West VA and then up to Joe's. I also need to decide about camping versus hotel. I am going to take a 100 mile round trip shortly to get back in shape here!
