This was just too weird to not share....
So there I was, cruizin down da road, about 75mph. I notice, in my floppy rear views a single headlight about a mile back, and it appears to be movin pretty dang quick. Imma tinkin some punk on a crotch rocket. Soon it gets fairly close, and all of a sudden, it's zooming around me on the right.....a grey Silverwing, with some middle-aged guy wearin shorts, and a white dress shirt, hair blowin in da wind, justta HAULIN BUTT down the hiway! Hadta be doin at least 90mph...
He was out of sight within 1 minute! After I got over the slight shock of what it was, I started laughin to meself. It was just too funny at that point, to see this wee widdle "scooter" blastin me into the weeds!! :smilie_happy: :smilie_happy: :smilie_happy:

And no, there were no blue/red flashing lights behind him!
Sure gave me a whole new appreciation for the newer Silverwings!!

scooters and fat chicks, both real fun to ride, but you don't want your friends to see you on one :rocks:

I saw a Honda that looked like a rice rocket at the Honda house, it was a scooter(automatic). The sales guy said it would do 120 mph all day long.

~O~

was it called a hondamatic I remember those when they originally came out chasrogers

I can't remember, but it looked more like a GSXR than a scooter, and it was all black.

I got to ride a friend's Suzuki Burgman 650 for a few miles and got up to 60 and it just didn't feel comfortable at all to me. Kinda like sitting on a chair going down the road at 60. It handled well but I don't think I could ever get used to it. Not cheap either, I think he paid about $8K for it.

Yep...I rode a Burgman too and that bugger would get up and go. A friend owns it and he mounts it on his huge Winnibego when they go traveling. Pulled him and the wife up Pikes Peak with out a problem he says.

Honda DN01

It got lackluster reviews from Motorcyclist. Aprilia has one as well that's marginally better.
