Take the petcock off the tank and clean the screens on the inside of the petcock. you have to check both the main and the reserve positions.

Clear the fuel line, charge the battery - fully. Have you considered a few beers and a bit less caffeine?
Go for a total cleaning of that tank, get the water blob out.Not much sediment is still sediment and you can't afford to let any sediment get into your carbs :nea: what brand battery did you buy for 200 bucks :headscratch:Basimpo1":1te0us32 said:slabghost":1te0us32 said:Let me get this clear. Haha i guess i do drink lots of coffee! But i just drained the tank (mostly, 2 2-liters of gas) and everytime after a few moments of draining the petcock would get plugged (on the inside of the tank, not the petcock itself) we looked at the gas and there was a blob of water but not much sediment in it. Im gonna try draining the tank all the way in the morning as best as i can and maybe if its not too wet run my vacuum (its a damn good vacuum) in the tank and suck up any ick in there. But yeah now the batterys charged and when i clear the petcock, should i take the plugs out again and try and turn over the engine or do you think its good? After i turned over the motor with the plugs out and after i cleared the fuel line temporarily the bike kinda sorta sounded like it wanted to turn over. Before when i hit the starter it did a vrum, vrumvrum, vrum. Now with some gas going to hit its a constant sound and the cylinders are firing but it seems kinda starved for gas (right, answer my own question duh but). The gas thing, when i was draining it: With the cap tightly screwed on, i had to blow into the petcock to get it to drain for a bit, then repeat (my shirt, face and pavement testify that gas came out) with the cap off though, no matter how much i blew into the petcock (ha ha i sense a joke here) no gas would come out, id just here it bubbling in the tank.
Any suggestions for me when it hits 0light30?
Thankyou!

We don't want anyone getting hurt.
Take logical steps clearing gas flow.
Once you have that done we can move onto the starter issue.

You will be hearing vrum vrumvrum vrum on the vacuum also....Or just a one big VRUM  :smilie_happy: :smilie_happy:bk2valve":1wy41tkf said:For goodness sake don't use a vacuum to suck out a fuel tank....those fumes will ignite and blow the motor of your vacuum apart.......seriously.....

I already love you guys
I would suggest charging the battery and testing its condition also checking if it can hold a charge. It is a brand name battery so probably it's not shot yet.Basimpo1":abyuyqh8 said:Still couldnt start it up but it started to look like the pump wasnt working because of the starter relay connection to the battery (wiggled it and the fuel pump jumped like crazy) the battery was drained from trying to start it and so i put it back on the tender and the tender isnt even registering the battery and the voltmeter is reading the battery at .60 mV. Joy so it looks like i need a new battery
