It was the pilot jet. I losse it up a little and good to go. And to work on a few small things. Horn work's with 12v jumper wire, but will not work with horn button. I have 12v at the horns. So I guess its the button. I just orded front brake pads, as I been testing riding with only back brake's. That's the EMPI 34-pict 3 carb. I will post more pictures later.

Wonderful, great, I too am glad it's better now, and of course y'all know me. I'm only throwing this caveat out there because I've been there.

You don't actually know until all the plastic is back on and you put a load on that bad boy, when you snap that throttle back at about 2, 3K in first gear, 2nd then 3rd and it responds with no bogging down.

Only then do you know you've got it dialed in.

Then and only then, would I know it was still messed up, or not, and now it ain't.

Mine would also run great in neutral and I was sure I must have had it right, this time!

I still got some fine tuning to do to carb but riding and punching it there is no bog and gets right up and goes.
Todays project is to try to replace left signal housing with another spare i have to try to fix horn button problem. Install new rear brake pads. I ordered new front pads. Install false tank so it looks like a bike.

Ok guys. Quick question.
First start up after sitting over night.it as always been on center stand.
First start up oil burning off header on right side. The smoking is oil burning from smell and it clears up after about 5minutes. No smoke out either exhaust pipes. To me it maybe valve stem seals. I'm going to sit it on side stand and see what happens. Oil is at level mark. I'm going to check it out more sunday.

Picture of it all together.

These motors typically don't like oil filled to the mark. Some prefer to run at a level near the bottom of the sight glass.

Bike runs and drives great. I pulled carburetor readjusted choke to spec online. I changed the main jet and adjusted accelerator pump. Hooked up vacuum line from carb to vacuum advance. And this bike idles at 1100 and will red line without a problem. Bike will get right up and take off. I had it going 75mph which I didn't care for going that fast. It cruise good at 45-55 mph. I put 24 miles on it tonight. I'm done tinkering with carburetor. I have a few odd ball things to do like wrap around bars around heads to see if they look good with or without them. I'm very happy with it now. I like the way the carb sounds sucking the air in. It may not sound so loud if I install a big air filter housing. I'm using a 4" round housing.
