its starting to come clear to me that if i had a supercharger to play with.....the 1200 motor would be the best for such mod .....you stand a good shot at being able to lower the compression ratio enough to be able to maxamize boost you could throw in to create boost monster of a motor while keeping thr rpm down and with an air to air intercooler setup who knows what kind of ET you could get ....just some dalusional thinking going... ive seen alot 1000s with superchargers but they are not realy a good match ....to much compression and not able to handle much boost ....im thinking a 1200 could handle 10 to 12 lbs of boost when everything ive seen only handles about 5 or 6 lbs boost ...if it could theres no eilling how much torque you would get ....im sure the clutch would crap out ....
but its a nice thought on extreme power....

on the more relistic side im thinking i might go for a single carb setup with some added nitrois to get huge HP gain ....there are lots of options on a lower compression setup for power that arent near as risky as they are on higher compression gas engines. im kinda excited about this as this was totaly unexspected when i jumped into this ....i could totaly do this kind of mod easy and again i can see the longivity thing being good with at least one brain cell of good sense...

its pretty kool going into this thinking not much about 1200 engine and then figuring out that it just maybe the best starting point on extreme engine mods of all wing motors . this is starting to become fun guys....
 
i know im flip floping but im starting to think in a different direction again ......the mongruel is is very fast and tall and on the radical side

the 1200 motor has hydrolic valvals and nakedtob gave me a carb rack to fit it except for the 4 intake turn downs to the head.....ive never ran a1200 setup
the way honda did it and im very close to having it so i think im going to go for it in the mongruel if its doable......

the way ive got it figured it going to come out geared inbetween an 82 and 83 1100 ....im guessing an 83 turns about 3600-3700 rpm at 70mph and it seems the
82 turns 3900-4000 at 70mph....it seems the 1200 will turn 3700-3800 at 70 mph.....this about 400 more than what i want but if i dont like the setup ican always go to the 1500 final drive......this sould make a very quick accelerating 1200 with exceptible touring rpm......

i need to know what i have to have past the ignition wires coming out of the motor to put the ignition together im hoping it just coil and wires and such but i dont know for sure yet....

will the stator on the 1100 possibly fit in a 1200 if the sator is bad on the 1200.....

i have an entire exhast system for a 1100 and im hoping to fit it to the 1200 heads and 1000frame of the mongruel........

this will be like a 1200 dresser with some street attitude gearing ......and 150lbs less weight

this is to good a setup to just pass up and do something else .....its pretty much a plug and play setup im hoping at least on the motor it is

i certantly want to see how quiet the motor is in its honda form before doing something more radical.......

the mongruel with its radical attitude will be the heart of my joeybuild....hotwing...iplan on something completly different and ready eat up the HD and Vtwin

custom bikes and make them have to look at the back of the hotwing cause they wont be fast enough to look at the front... :mrgreen: :cheeky:
