This has been a kinda back burner project of mine for awhile. It seems I only tinker with it between more important projects, but I hope to have it on the road next spring assuming moving doesnt get in the way.

This 1973 cb500 was someones chopper want to be when I got it last winter, unfortunitly it was a complete basket case.I took it home in two buckets and a box.

I still need to go through the carbs and install them, and blast and paint the wheels black before new rubber.

I am atempting to cafe it while retaining the natural patena it has earned through the years, and use it around town, and for my two wheel fix when the hack is on the wing.

Kinda polar oposites, big smooth shiny quite wing, and light nimble loud grunge bike.

Yes the long forks where quickly replaced. As was the massive tailight and fenders, chrome hand rail around the seat, pulled back bars and cobled up 4 into 4 exhuast.
Soon the seat will be recovered with a new sportier foam and cover, and the chrome on the wheels and shocks will discarded.

I wouldnt want anything Id have to keep clean  I do enough of that on the wing. And the new house is about a 1/4 mile off the road with a gravel drive.

I think the third to the set should be an old scrambler

:yahoo: This will be you when you get it where you can ride. :yahoo: I have similar bikes and they are a blast to ride. Big comfy wing verses fast nimble grunge will sometimes be a tough choice.

UPDATE
Looking more like a motorcycle.
Still need to do a little plug cap repair, and front brake hose rerouting but its getting there.
