I want to thank all members here for input donations and general openness on the issues of recent going issues tackle by the forum ...the c5 ignition was huge ...and under all kinds of out of line discounting and such I think progress was made ...a 1100 kit was born ...and the truth got out ....it surely is a slam dunk winner for oldwing ignitions ....such a great feather in the cap of this forum under fire ...paul and gary have to know they found good people on this forum to help push there ignition created for the oldwing community .....

also in the same breath we have tackled the single carb issue ...although under fire from discounters ..accusation of stealing and other bs ...we have a collection of great ideas that have risen to surface for others to see this is totally obtainable goal and we have mpg figures that discount the common answer that single is guaranteed low mpg ...as with a lot of common statements in oldwing stuff ...just complete bs ...

im glad to associated with such a producing forum ...that furthers oldwings to today realities.....heres to us all  :clapping: :thanks: :good:

+1! To us all! :salute:

And to you, Joe, for your tireless efforts to advance the OldWing cause, while enduring pain, the elements, and the discounters! :salute:

Last time I checked, it was still legal for Americans to have their own ideas, regardless of whether or not they were like another's ideas. Selling the ideas for profit is another can of worms. I love this forum for its willingness to dive in and attempt things. Some work out great, others, not so much. The process is the fun part.

+1. Thanks to the guys not afraid to tear apart a good running bike...to attempt a BETTER running solution. I am proud to consider all of you my friends.

Be it ignitions, carbs, or other upgrades, the only losers are the ones unwilling to keep an open mind.

Joe's post is well written. Thanks Joe.

I'm proud of our group here.
Direct and to the point.

I've always been the type to push forward on an idea, no matter how crazy it sounds.
Didn't naysayers say the first horseless carriage and gas engines wouldn't catch on?
Where would we be now if we let close minded people affect us or let it stop us.

New ideas and the freedom to pursue them.
Isn't that what freedom actually is?

I know I have gained a lot from this forum and admire the innovative ideas I have read here. These old wings are great bikes stock, but human nature says we always want to make something a little better and that is what I see with many of you, my hat's off to all of you.

Hear Hear! or is it Here Here? Oh the heck with it! Hip Hip Hooray!!! :yahoo: :rocks:  :clapping: :Egyptian:

I don't know who said an idea can't be used by someone else, if that was the case we would all be riding horses! wearing animal skins and live in caves. There may be very few new ideas but you can often improve on the old ideas I don't exactly see a patent on a single carb or electronic ignition IDEA! if that was the case throw away your keys now, I CAN'T HEAR THE KEY'S !!!! I think Bart has the right idea to any one who claims it was their idea is "Eat my shorts" and that gentlemen is from one of the old colonial masters !! :swoon: :hihihi:

Oh keep on using new or old ideas without them our bikes would be come scrap. I for one wont be going down that route. :thanks: MORE POWER TO THE MEMBERS :thanks:

+10 on all of that,

My house is filled with a million of other's ideas, I'd have a heck of a time to improve on all of it without other peoples ideas which I find on forums lol.
Found a whole shipload of stuff HERE to work with!

But in all seriousness (is that possible?)

I too feel that unless someone has PATENTED "their" idea (which was most likely taken from somewhere else also, or at best "gathered" from enough data to say "yup it was all my idea") that anyone couldn't expound on something and run with it!

There will never be a shortage of peops who love to apply their critique where it is not needed.

Kudos to those who just keep coming up with cool stuff and let others benefit. End of rant.. . :salute: , R.

I don't have a Patent , BUT I DO have a bunch of Copyrights , almost the samething . . . a copyright says nobody can use the writers music for Profit , anybody can play it , sing it anywhere , as long as they Don't Claim it as their own , and as long as they don't Profit from said music or song . but you can't Change anything that is Copyrighted , or Patented , without the owners permission . and as far as I know , nobody is Selling any advice on this site right ??? soooooooo.......... it don't count.
