What color are you going to paint it?

Gonna match the bike. I hope to match the pin stripe too.

Dang Brian now you're giving me ideas. Didn't I tell ya not to do that!?

I guess that is payback for having me thinking about finding a titled frame for my 1980 parts bike. :head bang:

It isn't fully dressed and it isn't completely naked... it's the swimsuit model!

:smilie_happy: Good term! I like that. :good:

I subscribe to the theory that if you can't feel it, what's the use, so I wanted a stereo for the Rooster Fairing that I would be able to hear without any problem. I also wanted something without a CD player because i didn't want the extra weight, but I wanted a USP/SD Card reader. Boss Audio is what came to the top of my list. Thursday night, last week I bought a stereo and set of 4" speakers on fleabay, and Saturday (during a snow storm) they were delivered and the order came with free shipping.

So now I had the stereo, but no hole to put it in, so out came the tools in my lavatory laboratory as I have come to refer to it. First thing was to mark out my cut line:

Drill out the corners (Not really necessary, but have you ever cut ABS with a dremel cut-off wheel?):

Rough cut to the inside of the line (don't want to take too much on the first pass):

And finish the hole off with some filing and sanding until the holder fits snugly:

Finally test fit everything and admire the finished look.

Now, if I could only get some warm weather so I could prime it so I could move on...

Looking good if you want the sweet sound of something else other than a flat 4...

That's why it has a mute button...

This break in winter has been helpful in more ways than one. I was able to get out for a ride and I was able to prime and paint. A few things left to do: pin striping, clear coat, and apply some wrap material to the dash and the stereo box. With the next round of cold weather arriving tonight, that might have to wait a few more days/weeks.

Hurry up! I wanna see the swimsuit model!

Well V, here is a sneak peak of it while it is "topless." :hihihi:

I had a run in the paint on the fairing. i could have left it go, but I had to fix it. I sanded it out and repainted it, and the entire fairing orange peeled! :head bang:
