It has been a tough year these last 12+ months for numerous reason that I am not wanting to waste your time culling through. But today, my Wife has been getting a double whammy! I will only say that a family member and hoarding are involved. A Social Worker had to step in and it isn't pretty.

On top of that, tonight we had to suddenly put down my Wife's dog. He was a Pug named "PUG" (That was because he was too dumb to take a more intelligent name!) He has been her dog since being a puppy at 4 months back in 2001 and he was at her side for anything and everything. She and our family have been through a lot, but this only made things a bit worse today.

We will recover. We have two beagles (litter mates) for three years, but Pug was her dog. He will be missed.

You all sound like an awesome family, strong and full of love and faith. Things will work out and everyone will be better for it. Sorry to hear about Pug, it's tough to lose a loved pet (family member).

Agreed.. btdt... had to put down a couple of family members... one was my dig but when the wife's sugar dropped she would bug the neck out of her until she got up and checked it.. then go get something to eat... and then the dog would lay down and go to sleep..... the other one was the dog that acted as a dry momma to that same dig.. long family members... and wish you the best in the other issues Gerry

Gerry...I have a friend back home that named his Border Collie "Puppy"....just 'cause it was easier for him to remember it.... :headscratch:

Sorry to hear about your recent issues, especially with Pug....ain't nothing easy about dealing with that situation...
All our best to you and yours, and hoping things all get worked out peacefully.

All this talk is making me miss my first cat I named Resses. The kid in the front house was having a resses peanut butter cup when I brought her home. The name just worked.

Tough loosing a pet.

I know how it feels Gerry. My wife still misses our first Mini Foxy "Spotty" who came off second best with a King Brown snake more than 15 years ago. It does make it easier when you have other animals ( 2 offspring) but he will always have a special place in our hearts ( our daughter was 2 when we got him).
