I have put full luggage from a 1984 1200 onto my 1983 GL1100AD. Had to modify mounting points by cutting off original ones and re-welding to new locations but otherwise very easy and straightforward.

Sorry about delay including photo but I lost it on my putor and took ages to find again.

Hope it helps.

I have just seen the images on your profile page and you have a tidy looking machine. When I searched for the 1200 luggage to fit my bike I went out of my way to find a set with the correct colour codes in order to match and look standard. I paid more that way but the end result was , in my opinion , worth it. Persevere and you will also end up with a similar effect - it will be more "factory" than a respray .

:music: When I bought the luggage it came with NO trim but I reckon that the trim could be made to fit without any real issues. I prefer to use without the trim. Besides I had those lights kicking around the garage and gave them a new home and it gives her a more distinct look , almost as if Honda used it as an unfinished prototype. :hi:
