Hello From The Upper Peninsula Of Michigan

My wife and I recently inherited dads 1983 GL1100 Interstate.
The bike is what I would consider the "Cadillac" on the highway.
This is the biggest bike I have ever own or driven but how can you not
love the power, smoothness and comfort these machines have to offer.
Just learning all the basic maintenance and features. Being an '83
it has that soiled look to the motor and some staining on the pipes.
anyone with any suggestions upon restoration and making our bike look
as new as possible would be greatly appreciated.

Chrome polish, elbow grease, and colored wax are my best friends.

if it were me id ride a while to find its faults if any to get it in top running shape once there and know the bike well id then think about glitter program
